Biography
President of the Board of Directors of the National Anti-Corruption Mechanism (MENAC).
Judge of the Court of Auditors (Tribunal de Contas).
Former Appeal Court Judge at the Courts of Appeal of Porto and Coimbra, and judge in several district courts across the country since 1987.
Master’s degree in Legal and Criminal Sciences and PhD from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra.
Former lecturer in Criminal Law at the Centre for Judicial Studies (CEJ) and former Deputy National Director of the Judicial Police (Polícia Judiciária).
Author of several published legal works in the fields of criminal procedure, corruption and sexual crime.
Former President of the Portuguese Judges’ Association (ASJP).
