João Carlos Mesquitela is an Associate Consultant at the National Anti-Corruption Mechanism (MENAC), working on Cybersecurity, Data Protection, Technology Governance and Digital Transformation. A Computer Engineer with a Master’s in Computer Engineering, specialising in Data Science, from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, he is a member of the Portuguese Order of Engineers.
With more than two decades of experience in Public Administration, he has contributed to developing Artificial Intelligence solutions for document analysis and the detection of non-compliance in corruption prevention, promoting ethical, transparent use grounded in human oversight. His experience combines specialist technical skills with a strategic view of the challenges of artificial intelligence, digital resilience and trust in information systems.
